Waste Not....A Smoothie Recipe
In the age of Buy One, Get One Free deals where you end up buying things you may or may not use, I have a simple idea: fruit smoothie. I ended up with a quart and a half of uneaten strawberries that no one seemed interested in, and I didn't want them to go to waste. I also found a quart container of vanilla yogurt shoved in the back of the refrigerator that had also gone forgotten. We clearly aren't taking the time to sit down and eat our food, so I decided to blend it up into a smoothie.
I just put 8 ounces of yogurt into a pitcher, added a half a quart of strawberries that I rough cut, and then added almond milk to thin it out. A few quick wooshes of the hand blender and it was done, and it's sweet and tasty. You could use a regular blender, and probably any type of yogurt, fruit, and milk you wanted. We happen to be loving almond milk right now.

One for me, one for my helper.
One more drinkable solution to getting in all those food groups.
